• Announcements

• A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped with the stew in any way! We had a great turnout even with the snowy weather. A special thanks to the Todds, Thorntons and Sandy Whitley for spending their Friday night at the Fire Station preparing for the Saturday stew!

• Progress reports for each class were sent home this past Friday! All progress reports should be returned, signed, no later than TUESDAY.

• Jazz Band meets TOMORROW from 3:15-4:30 in the band room. After losing several rehearsals because of holidays and weather, the jazz band needs every rehearsal minute they can get between now and the concert!

• Band Booster Meeting-TOMORROW NIGHT-7 p.m. in the band room. PLEASE MAKE PLANS TO ATTEND!

• Percussion Ensemble will meet BOTH Tuesday and Thursday of this week from 5-7:30 in the band room.

• University of Memphis Honor Band students MUST pay their room fees ($43/4 per room; $60/3 per room) by THIS WEDNESDAY. We will depart @ 2 p.m. Thursday for Memphis. Each student will need his/her own rid home from the concerts Saturday since the bus will return to Dyer after dropping the students off Thursday. Students will need money for 3 meals. They will need to bring their own breakfast for their room.

• Solo and Ensemble sign-up was this past week. Students MUST pay for their solos and/or ensembles by THIS THURSDAY. Each event a student is registered for is $10. S/E will be held March 8 @ North Side HS in Jackson. Students should prepare their solo on their own time. Make sure they are practicing because the directors will listen to them the week of the event and if they are not prepared they will NOT be allowed to attend (and their is no refund).

• Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held this Thursday (3:30-6:00) and Friday (8-11:30). Make every effort to come and check on your student's progress in his/her classes. Due to the U of M Honor Band Clinic, Mr. Tate will not be available for PT Conference. Please email or call him with any questions or concerns you may have about your student.

• The FINAL DISNEY PAYMENT is due THIS SATURDAY, FEB. 15 to Thomas Tours in Nashville.
