Tuesday - Full Band (3-5); NO SECTIONALS!
Thursday - Full Band (3-5)
Friday - Football @ Humboldt - 7:30 - We will meet at 6:00 for immediate departure
Announcements
Thanks to all those who traveled to Scott's Hill on Friday night! A big THANK YOU to all those who moved over to the home stands for our performance at halftime. We had a big showing in their stands! It always helps when our kids hear you all cheering for them!
Tomorrow we do NOT have school but we DO HAVE AFTER SCHOOL REHEARSAL FROM 3-5. REHEARSAL IS MANDATORY! All loading crew members, front ensemble members and guard members are asked to arrive at 2:30 to unload and change out flags. The video from Friday's performance will be shown in the band room @ 2:30 and 2:45 for those students who would like to see it. It will also be shown again after rehearsal for all loading crew, front ensemble, and guard members who are interested. We will be rehearsing the costume change TOMORROW! ALL STUDENTS NEED TO BRING HIS/HER COSTUME TO REHEARSAL TOMORROW!
Football @ Humboldt this Friday! Kickoff is @ 7:30 p.m. We will meet in the band room @ 6 p.m. for immediate departure. The attire for Friday will be polos (TUCKED IN), khaki shorts and tennis shoes. All ride home forms are due by 5 p.m. on Thursday. NO EXCEPTIONS. Forms are available on the website or on the band room table.
Band Fee payments of $30 were due this PAST FRIDAY. We had several students who did not turn in these payments. We need these turned in ASAP so we are able to pay our monthly bills!
We will have our last band parents meeting before our contest NEXT MONDAY (September 9) @ 7 p.m. in the band room. If you want to help in any way, WE NEED YOU AT THIS MEETING. Please make every attempt to attend. It takes EVERYONE to pull off this event!
Marching Shoes should be in soon! Students will receive their shoes ONLY if they have paid for them ($28/guard; $34/band).
All hornline members will need GLOVES for Friday, September 13th. Gloves are $3 per pair and are REQUIRED as part of the uniform. See Ms. Evans or Mr. Brockman to purchase gloves.
UPCOMING DATES
Tuesday, September 10-Memorization Test over "Amazing Grace" for hornline members during sectional time for section leaders.
Friday, September 13-Football vs. Gleason/Home-7:30. We will meet in the band room @ 6:30 dressed in FULL UNIFORM (theme shirt, jacket, bibs, shako, gloves, LONG black socks, and marching shoes).
Saturday, September 14th-OUR FIRST CONTEST @ Graves County High School in Mayfield, KY. We perform @ 6:30 p.m. We will meet int he band room @ 1:00 p.m. for rehearsal. A setailed itinerary will be sent with next week's announcements.
