Great job last week at the pep rally!
This is what you need to have with you every day for band class and after school rehearsal:
Instrument
Tennis Shoes for outside
Music in your black 1.5inch binder with sheet protectors (must have tomorrow)
Drill Book
Red water jug
Pencil
These things are needed every day as we will be outside every day unless it rains and then we will make it work. Failure to have these will drop your daily grade.
We will start our after-school rehearsals on Tuesday August 6th. These rehearsals are from 3:15 - 6:00. Parents, please schedule any non-emergency appointments on Monday or Wednesday. We had everyone at camp, and everything ran smoothly and we want to continue that for after school rehearsals.
SHIRT ORDER FORMS have been sent! Be sure to look at the deadlines!
For after school rehearsals we will wear our rehearsal shirts again:
Tuesday - Band Red, Guard Blue
Thursday - Band Blue, Guard Red
Ball Games - Red
Contests - Blue
Failure to wear the correct color on the correct days will result in extra laps. Please wear the correct color when needed as it makes rehearsals more efficient.
Playing tests will begin this week. You will have a memorization test over the warm-up on Aug. 7th. These will be in person for me and Mr. Leslie.
Cut time is not completely up and running yet. I am still working with it to get it to send everyone the message as it is supposed to. I am also working on adding costs for those that ordered shoes, rehearsal shirts, and polos. This new cut time is not user friendly for me at all so please just be patient. I will also add any instrument repairs that are completed on your instrument if it is not covered under the amro insurance. The band will pay this upfront, but you are responsible for paying us back.
Fundraising has gone alright so far but please make sure that you are participating in every fundraiser. It is not fair for little Tina to get the same benefits as little Johnny if little Tina didn't help with the fundraiser and little Johnny raised $1,000. Everyone must pull their own weight.
