Braided Bread Orders and Money are due TOMORROW! Each student was asked to try and sell at least 5 loaves or get $25 in donations. Hopefully everyone did his/her part on this fundraiser as the boosters are about to pay a good amount of the students' hotel costs for the Friday before state. Orders will be delivered the week after state.
Band Booster Meeting-TOMORROW NIGHT-7 p.m. in the band room-Come be a part!
We have decided, and opened discussion with all parents, to travel to Nashville on the Fridaynight before state so the students will not have to get up as early on Saturday before performing at state. We will stay at the Embassy Suites (Nashville Airport location) for Fridayand the Embassy Suites (Franklin/Cool Springs) on Saturday. Students will have a full breakfast buffet on both Saturday and Sunday. We will rehearse during class time on thatFriday and then load the truck @ 3 p.m. We will depart between 4:30-5:00 after the buses complete their after school routes. We will have a picnic on the way to Nashville Friday night (provided by the Boosters) and pizza will be served to the students, chaperones, drivers, pit crew, and directors on Saturday night.
All state room money is due THIS FRIDAY. Students with 6 in their room owe $32; students with 4 owe $37; students with 7 (only 1 room) owe $29. The room lists are posted in the band room if a student needs to see how many are in his/her room. These rates include both Friday and Saturday nights with the boosters paying for the majority of Fridaynight's stay.
Chaperones need to pay their final costs by Friday. You have received an email stating your Friday costs.
Friday Night is SENIOR NIGHT! We will honor our seniors during pregame this Friday night (7 p.m.). Everyone will need to be dressed and in their seats at 6 p.m. Any senior wishing to wear anything other than their shakos on their head for the Friday performance will have to have it approved by Mr. Tate-No Exceptions.
Saturday we will compete in the "Max It Out" Marching Invitational at Crockett Co. in Alamo. We will meet at 2:00 p.m. for rehearsal. See the attached itinerary for exact details. All ride home forms are due no later than Friday @ 3 p.m.-NO EXCEPTIONS!
Next week (State Week), we will have night rehearsals on both Tuesday and Thursdaynights from 6-9 p.m. On Tuesday (10/30), we will travel to UTM to rehearse. All students will need to be in their seats at 5:30 for immediate departure to Martin. If you want to pick up your student for Martin following the rehearsal, ride home forms will be due no later than that afternoon @ 3 p.m.
On Thursday (10/31), we will rehearse at GC. All students will need to be in their seats at 6 for rehearsal. For these rehearsals, we will serve the kids a snack, fruit and hot chocolate. Stay tuned for details as to what each student will need to bring. These state week rehearsals are always GREAT REHEARSALS. Be sure students take care of their homework assignments before these rehearsals.
