Announcements:

• Happy Valentine's Day!

• Great Job! by our 3 students from GC who represented us this past Saturday in Memphis at the All-West TN Honor Band Clinic!

• CONGRATULATIONS to Ms. DeDe and the winter guard girls on their 7th out of 13 place finish this past Saturday at their competition!

• NO SCHOOL TOMORROW - President's Day! Jr/Sr Day at UT Martin!

• On Tuesday we will start selling Krispy Kreme donuts. For those students going on the trip to Gatlinburg, 50% of each student's profit of sales will go into their trip account. For those not going on the trip, the profit will go into the booster's general fund. All orders + money will be due back no later than Tuesday, February 23rd.

• Percussion Ensemble will rehearse on Tuesday & Thursday of this week from 5-7 in the band room! Tuesday's schedule may have to be adjusted due to the game.

• Coach Wilkins has asked the pep band to play at Tuesday's district semifinal game and again on Friday at the district's final game if/when we win on Tuesday. Mrs. McMinn asked the entire band on Thursday and no one indicated that they would not be able to attend Tuesday's game so we will plan to play at the Tuesday's night game. Game time is 7:30. We will meet at 6:45 in the band room dressed in GC attire! If/when we win on Tuesday we will play again on Friday. Game time is 7:30. We will meet at 6:45 in the band room dressed in GC attire! These are just 1 game each night (~1-1.5 hours in length). Students should plan to get all of their homework completed before we meet for the game.

• Jazz Band will rehearse on Wednesday of this week from 3:15-4:30 in the band room!

• Thanks to all those who have signed up to work concessions for the tournaments that will be held here at GC over the next couple of weeks! There are a few spots that we still need workers. See Wendy's email from this past week if you have not already signed up to work a spot!

Upcoming Dates:

• Tuesday, March 1st - After School Rehearsal (Concert Band) - 3:15-5:00 - Theatre - Attendance is MANDATORY!

• Thursday, March 3rd - Our classical concert is scheduled for this date at 6:30 but this will be the night of the girl's region championships. We will either move the time of the concert or the date of the concert due to this game being played at GC. More information will be coming soon!

• Saturday, March 5th - Solo/Ensemble - Jackson North Side - Times will be emailed out as soon as we get them. Students may ride the bus from the high school or provide his/her own transportation to Jackson. Be sure your student is practicing for this event!

• Monday, March 7th - Fall 2016 Color Guard Clinics BEGIN! Encourage students you know who would like to get involved in our organization to attend the clinics!
