Announcements
· This is what you need to have with you every day for band class and after school rehearsal:
o Instrument
o Tennis Shoes for outside
o Music in your black 1.5inch binder with sheet protectors (must have every day)
o Drill Book
o Red water jug-refill these at the water filling stations BEFORE you come down to the field
o Pencil
· These things are needed every day as we will be outside unless it rains and then we will make it work. Failure to have these will drop your daily grade.
· The only people other than staff and band that will be permitted to enter stadiums with the band will be the PIT CREW. Mr. Dewayne has his list and if you are not on that list then you will need to purchase a ticket to the game or contest. Our 4 chaperones will also get a bracelet to get into contests.
· ALL REHEARSALS THIS WEEK ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL MEMBERS FOR THE FULL REHEARSAL TIME!!!!
· ALL PERCUSSION ARE REQUIRED TO BE AT PERCUSSION PRACTICE THE FULL TIME ON MONDAY!! WE WANT TO MAKE SURE IT'S PERFECT FOR STATE!!!
· For Tuesday's night rehearsal Wear your red rehearsal shirt and it needs to be the top layer. Example: if you wear a jacket, your shirt must go over your jacket.
· State contest this weekend. Here are a few rules.
· Girls can only be on girls floor and boys only on boys floor.
· No mixed sexes in rooms.
· If you want to hang out with someone of the opposite sex or a significant other or a member of another band you must be down in the hotel lobby.
· Each night we will tape students in their rooms. If they open the door and the tape is removed we will look at the hotel camera to see if anyone else opened it or if it was from inside the room. If it was from the inside of the room the student will be sent home immediately and will not be allowed on any more overnight trips.
· No prank calling rooms and no calling after taped in. If there is an emergency then you can call a director or your chaperone's room.
· NO INAPPROPRIATE GAMES!!! THIS INCLUDES CARDS AGAINST HUMANITY!!!
· If you are caught to doing anything inappropriate you will be dealt with by myself and then Mr. Hughes.
· No illegal substances.
· NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO PURCHASE ANY FOOD FROM THE HOTEL RESTURANT TO BE DELIVERED TO THEIR ROOM OR PURCHASE MOVIES. This charges to the band and we will be liable for that cost. We will be able to know the room and we will send you a bill for the difference even if you ordered it by accident. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! This includes adults who have purchased rooms through the band.
· Middle school students and parents!!! This Friday you will need to make sure that your middle schooler is at the high school by 1:30 to do one final run through of the show with the full band and then we will load the trailer to get ready to go.
**Be sure to check and recheck your packing items! Don't forget your TALK BLACK SOCKS-there will be no backups this weekend! NO ANKLE SOCKS ALLOWED! REMEMBER your chargers! Pack something to keep you warm Saturday night!
· Please make sure you are participating in every fundraiser. It is not fair for little Tina to get the same benefits as little Johnny if little Tina didn't help with the fundraiser and little Johnny raised $1,000. Everyone must pull their own weight.
· Tuesday you will need to turn in your Braided Bread fundraiser money. It has to be turned in that day as we are going to be leaving for state and can not take any late submissions. You are asked to sell 20 items or receive $60 in donations.
