Solo and Ensemble $$$ should have been turned in by now.
Tomorrow Dr. Oelrich from the University of Tennessee at Martin will be at rehearsal to work with you on our concert festival music. Make sure you are prepared.
Wednesday we will move to the theater during class time.
Mr. Tate and Mr. Leslie will begin pulling you to listen to your Solo and Ensemble music. Make sure this is prepared as you would like to receive a 1 or 2 and would need that from them to be able to attend the event.
Color guard clinics will begin on March 7th. All who would like to be in the color guard for next year's show must attend these clinics. The first two clinics will be free. A $40 fee is required to continue after the first two. This is for ALL persons wanting to be in guard. You must reaudition even if you have been in guard before and you MUST pay the fee. (NO EXCEPTIONS)
Percussion auditions will begin April 18th. All members must reaudition. (NO EXCEPTIONS)
Drum Major clinics begin March 21st. You must attend all drum Major clinics to be considered. Everyone who is interested must audition, even if you were drum major before (NO EXCEPTIONS)
This Thursday we will have sectionals during class to work on concert festival music. Brass and percussion will be with Mr. Tate in the band room. Woodwinds will be with Mr. Leslie in the theater. BE PREPARED and don't wait until the last minute to work on your music.
Parade band is quickly approaching! Make sure that you check the calendar for the rehearsal dates. You must participate in parade band, even if you are not in concert band this semester, to be able to attend the band banquet.
The first Parade Band rehearsal will be for those not in concert band only. (April 19th)
