Rehearsal Schedule for the week:

• Monday - Guard Sectional (3-5); Clarinet Sectional (3:15-4:30); Percussion Sectional (5-8)

• Tuesday - Full Band (3-5); all other hornline sectionals (5-6)

• Thursday - Full Band (3-5)

• Friday - OPEN WEEK FOR FOOTBALL! No game! Enjoy your night off!

• Saturday - Bandmaster's Championship - Memphis - We meet at 11:00 for rehearsal.

Announcements:

• Thanks to all those who made the trip over to South Gibson yesterday! I think our fans made up about half of the fans that were there! What a great performance our kids put on last night! Hard work is definitely starting to pay off as our performances continue to elevate in their effectiveness!

• Yankee Candle orders + $$$ are due THIS FRIDAY! Each student is asked to sell at least 6 items or get $30 in donations. Please do your part to make this fundraiser a success!

• Friday is our football team's open week! There is no game on Friday. Enjoy your night off!

• On Saturday we will travel to the Liberty Bowl for the Bandmaster's Championship! This is a HUGE contest! Our class line-up is stacked with competition! Once again we find ourselves among some very tough competition. Attached is the line-up of bands. We will meet at 11:00 am for rehearsal before leaving for Memphis at 12:45. Students need to have eaten lunch BEFORE they arrive that morning. The boosters will feed the students immediately following our performance at 5:00. Students will need money for a meal/snack in the stadium (~$10/student) when we arrived. Our detailed itinerary for the day is attached to this email. Ride home forms for Saturday are due NO LATER THAN 3:00 pm on Friday! NO EXCEPTIONS! The website for the competition is http://www.tigerbandalumni.com/bandmasters.htm. Check out the website for the new bag policy that they have at the Liberty Bowl!!! I hope that many of you will make the drive down to Memphis, sit together, and cheer on this great group of students!

• Monday, October 23rd - Guard Sectional (3-5); Flute/Altos Sectional (3:15-4:30); Percussion Sectional (5-8)

• Friday, October 27th - FB vs. McKenzie - Home - 7:00 - Senior Night - Students will have to be dressed in full uniform and in their seats at 5:30. Senior night recognitions will begin at 6:30.

• Saturday, October 28th - Mid-South Marching Invitational @ Austin Peay State University. We will meet that morning for immediate departure to APSU!

• Rehearsal Change: The rehearsal scheduled for Halloween (31st) originally scheduled for the 6-9 will now be at regular rehearsal time from 3:15-5:00. This has been updated on the band website's calendar.
